- A correction. If I got a fact, a date, or a name wrong, please tell me — I will fix the post and say what changed.
- A book recommendation, especially if it argues with something I wrote.
- Route notes, if you have travelled somewhere I’ve written about and found it different.
- Freelance indexing or archival work. This is what I do for a living.
Things I will probably decline
- Sponsored posts, paid links, and “content partnerships”. No exceptions, and I don’t need the rate card.
- Guest posts.
- Requests to add a link to an existing article in exchange for anything.
